Key Stage 3 Awards Evening

On Monday 2nd July 2018 Sir Thomas Wharton Academy hosted our annual Key Stage 3 Awards Evening.

This was a night to celebrate the academic achievements of our students in Years 7 and 8. Parents and students were welcomed by our Principal, Mrs Bootman. Awards were presented to students by Mr Hamshaw, Mr Taylor and our guest speaker Mr McVeigh for:

  • Excellent and Outstanding Engagement in Learning
  • Progress against targets set
  • PLEDGES in both Silver and Gold
  • Subject Awards

Music interludes were given by two talented students, Roisin Steele who sang 'Video Games' and Liam Morris who sang  'Wake Me Up'.

Our special Bradley Wiseman and Sofie Banks awards were also presented to two Year 7 students.

We would like to give special thanks to the five students who helped with the presentations on the evening. They read superbly well ensuring that the evening flowed.

There was a Prize Draw at the end of the evening which gave all the students involved the opportunity to win Amazon vouchers, three Tablets and three Amazon Fire Kindles. Well done to all the winners!

Thank you to all of you that supported this evening and congratulations to all the students on their achievements this year!!
