Exciting Careers News for Y10 -13 Virtual Work Experience Opportunities and Careers Fair - Feb half term

2020 has been a challenging year for students and the new year has already brought with it its own challenges with remote learning becoming a national requirement.

We had planned Work experience for many of our Y10 students which unfortunately was cancelled, going into 2021, the chance of face to face work experience is now sadly unlikely, however employers are starting to send through virtual opportunities which will help students to continue to grow their CVs and explore different career paths, despite the restrictions.

To view all upcoming virtual work experience programmes and Insight Days with companies such as Vodafone, Nestle, The NHS, Chartered Institute of Marketing and BT, which are free for students, click here.

These are exciting opportunities and are making the best of the current situation allowing students, to emerge better prepared for the future and with informed knowledge and new skills

There is also a Virtual Careers Fair taking place on the 27th of January, which allows students to learn from companies such as HSBC, Network Rail, EY and Cancer Research UK

Careers Advice during Covid-19

Careers Information re Higher Education

We are very aware that in the current circumstances created by the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many students in a home environment concerned about future career planning and many parents and guardians helping them with this. In order to help at this time Hepp have collected a sample of their most appropriate resources which do not require Hepp/teacher delivery. It is our hope that these will be used in the coming days and weeks to enable family learning and foster conversations about higher education in the home. Although the resources linked are primarily geared towards Y11 and beyond, they are still relevant and informative to all.
